In accordance with our quality policy, at Tohata Architects & Engineers, inc., we are continuing to make further efforts to realize the aim of an enriched society in the future.
Since the company's founding in 1932, Tohata Architects & Engineers, inc. has created numerous buildings both in Japan and abroad through its design management activities. Recently we have given our products rankings and established and improved design management systems, as part of our efforts to increase our customers' satisfaction with the quality of our designs.
We have obtained company-wide certification for ISO 9001, the international standard for Quality Management Systems. In addition, we have made numerous proposals concerning the natural environment. Every day, we are also diligently accumulating new knowledge, in order to continue being an organization that contributes to the well-being of both our clients and society.
[ A plan of action that focuses on dialog ]
After receiving a commission from a client, we select a highly experienced person to take overall charge of the design team comprising staff members from each of the fields of design, construction, installation and cost estimation and who have a track record in similar works. This is always done on a project-by-project basis.
The design team constantly takes charge of all activities from planning and conception, on through design, management and aftercare.
After fully grasping the client's needs and the demands of society and the current times, each team leader integrates the scrutiny of specialists in each field. Then, with support from a comprehensive backup system that includes each company division, he directs the advancement of the project.
The designers on each project do not act arbitrarily on their own authority, but collaborate actively with the client, and transform into reality sustainable architecture whose true value becomes ever more clear over time. In this way they can contribute to the client and to society.
[ The Work Process ]
At each stage of design and management, in-house inspectors hold a design review (DR) with the design team in order to make sure the project's contents satisfy each one of the client's needs and are compatible with our company's design quality criteria. Even after construction is completed, the design team leader maintains his/her connection with the project, dealing swiftly with any faults, giving advice on maintenance, and providing aftercare.
